Every parent’s dream is to enrol their wards in a school that cater for their academic needs in a safe and conducive environment. This is the exact reason The Aretean was established in July, 2021. The school is a Cambridge Associate School and operates an international curriculum. The curriculum is further developed with Nigerian appropriation in order to ensure that all scholars are well informed of the happenings around them. The aim is to raise global leaders who can use their learning experience to solve personal and community problems.
The Aretean School comprises the Early Years and Primary Sections.
The Early Years consist of:

Our Classrooms
The Aretean School has a state-of-the-art classroom with devices that stimulate and aid teaching and learning. Each class is equipped with an interactive whiteboard, a projector and a traditional whiteboard. Each class is a 12-seater learning area with 24 pieces of cubbies for scholars to store their bags, folders, pencils cases and other items.
The Library
Our library boasts of diverse books spanning over a wide array of genres. With reading books from The Famous Five to The Falcon’s Maltesers, children can enjoy a variety of fiction writing as well as academic books. We are intentional in creating a conducive scenery for reading which will always stimulate scholars’ interests in reading and creative writing.
The Music Room
Our music room is carefully curated to intrigue and captivate our scholars. Scholars can enjoy a wide range of musical instruments such as violin, keyboard, recorder and standing drums amongst many others. Our theoretical and practical classes, where children explore the western and African music, are well-balanced.
Sports Facilities
Every good school must invest in sporting facilities. At the Aretean, scholars are at liberty to play basketball, football, swimming and other sports. They also enjoy the opportunity to be coached by licensed coaches in these sports. Our scholars are therefore not only academically catered for, but physically groomed.
Playground
Our playground has a diverse array of swings and slides where scholars can burn off steam during recess. With hands-on stimulus such as our sand-pit, our Early Years scholars can wear their creativity hat.
The ICT Laboratory
Our 12 – seater computer ICT laboratory empowers our scholars to truly explore their ICT Natives identity. The ICT scheme is intentionally built by merging the Cambridge Digital Literacy and Computing schemes. From Scratch to Microsoft Office Software Package, our scholars are well-prepared to enter into the 21st century job world.
The Art Room
Our Art Room is a production facility where scholars come in to exhibit their creative selves. With a perfect view of the whole school, our Art Room stimulates the brain to be a better version of itself. With endless supplies, our scholars are motivated to explore. Finally, learning is well-balanced through a good blend of theoretical and practical aspect of the curriculum.
Camp Atlantis
Camp Atlantis offers a unique bedding experience and exposure for children. Parents with busy schedules that require boarding facility can explore this option. With a 50-bed facility, a 32-sitter Cinema Room, homework support, bus shuttle and 5 times a day feeding plan, parents can finally be delegate their parental responsibilities to us.
Blue Diner
Blue Diner is a kiddies-restaurant that caters to our scholars’ meals; 3 servings a day. Our scholars have breakfast, lunch and tea-snack from kitchen that mirrors a home cooked meal experience.
The Aretean Clinic
The Aretean Clinic is purposely built and well-equipped to cater to the health and safety of our scholars. The clinic is manned by a qualified pediatrician who is assisted by well-trained nurses. The clinic is also responsible for the promotion of good health advocacy in the school as well as good feeding habit of our scholars.
